Perchance to Dream
Mamallapuram, India A poem inspired by the knowledge exchange: In lands divided by oceans, and in communities perched high on mountains, and where a gumbo of cultures became the new world, human beings have waged wars, schemed and plundered, with little or no excuse:”They speak a different language; they pray to different gods; we take from others so we can have more.” Huge waves suddenly washed ashore, taking away the young and the old, those who were loved, and those who had little.
